The Rotaract Club of Vacoas is well known for its regular Blood Donation campaigns. As it has been the practice for a few years now, the Rotary Club of Vacoas joins in this project. While blood donation is free, as its name implies, the Rotary Club has always ensured that each donor goes away with a little gift. Last year it was a Rotary Mug, this year it was a shopping bag. It is a support to the campaign of getting people to adopt the old pollution free habit of carrying one's own shopping bag and avoid plastic bags. The days' collection was of 87 pints. A collection of above 50 is viewed as a good day. This probably testifies to the fact that collection of blood is still a difficult activity here.
