The first two events organised by the Club for this award were centred on drawing and a poster competition. This year we asked students to write an essay on a very specific area which, to our opinion, is indicative of the direction that our leaders must strive to take this country forward as a legacy to the younger generation.
The topic chosen was: “The Mauritian society where I would be happy to live as an adult”
Students were required to reflect on ways in which they would like the country to be, in social and economic terms, in about 15 years from today.
Open to students of Lower and Upper Six- all secondary schools of Mauritius and Rodrigues.
The Jury was headed by Mrs Aruna Ankiah-Gungadeen, Lecturer from the English Department, Mauritius Institute of Education.
