The age range that was targeted was 18 to 45. Very often people are not aware of any risk that they are exposed to. An early identification of risk of any heart dysfunction is an efficient way of preventing complication from an early age. It is better for people to take preventive measures and lead a healthy life rather than resorting to curative measures at a later age.

To that end the Rotary International has spent billions of dollars over the past decade worldwide. Thr Rotary Club of Vacoas itself has been rather active in sponsoring the Cardiac Unit and cardiac surgery in Mauritius. This time the emphasis is placed on 'prevention' as well.
