The Rotary Awareness Night held on 30 Aug 2011 was an opportunity to invite economic operators, Rotarian's friends and business collaborators to the Club.
PDG Randhir presented Rotary and spoke on the roles, function and ideals of a Rotary Club as well as the Rotary International, as he traced the History of the RI. It was equally an opportunity to allow the guests who were not familiar with Rotary to obtain an insight into one of the foremost Service Club in the world today.
PP Jeewan Jepaul, Director for Projects, presented a retrospective on the projects undertaken by the Club since its inception in 1991 and highlighted the projects planned for 2011-2011.
The crux of the evening was the induction of three new members: Rtn Shah Soodeen , Rtn Alvin Joyekurun, Rtn Pravesh Doorgakant.

On that occasion, PP Gilbert Canabady of St Pierre, Pierrefonds, Reunion Island was welcomed as the new Honourary Member of the Vacoas Club. He seeks to collaborate in one major project which consists of getting wheeled chairs from Reunion to be donated to a Club in Madagascar.
